Positive: It is very well appointed and comfortable inside and out. The view is amazing and all your creature comforts are catered for.

Negative: The only thing I didn’t like about our stay was the people shouting outside our bedroom window in the morning while working in the field.

Positive: The location was beautiful and the barn itself beautifully decorated. Fiona was fantastic at resolving any issues that we had when we had a few arise. The log burner was a lovely touch. And Fiona had anticipated out arrival in the rain and had put the key in the door for us ready. Was nice to have a covered car port in the rain. Bed was super comfy and lovely soft linen The book that is left was a life saver after I became ill as i was able to tell my Dr where the closest pharmacy was to send emergency medication. We were lucky enough to get the northern lights over the valley which was stunning.

Negative: Coming from a farming background I understand animals make noises, it was one of the draws as usually there out in the field to look at, but the bulls and cows sadly due to weather and illness had been bought into the barn that was pretty much adjacent to the bedroom wall, and those animals were vocal, day AND all night with them sounding like a drone siren going off at 4am. Nothing that could be helped, it was a farm afterall and I sympathise but my poor partner got little to no sleep as wasn't able to mute it out like me, a heads up would have been nice knowing how noisy cattle can be when enclosed so we could have made an informed decision. Sadly We had quite a few niggly issues with various things that could have been spotted easily with a quick check before hand and better communication, we had no idea where the towels were and found out they were in a cupboard, after having to message to enquire the following day. As it's self catering, It would have been really nice and has become a bit of a standard most places now to have had some of the basics on hand, we had tea coffee sugar but no milk even the uht stuff available or cooking oil just for that first cup of tea before you've got your bearings. would have done there was no keys for any of the doors in kitchen or living room, only front door key, the TV was listed as being a smart TV, we had looked for somewhere specific with one as had purchased films to watch on rainy days, I don't have much mobility and we wanted the quiet log burner, cosy movie night for our anniversary but it ended up with them having to get a new fire stick which we then installed ourselves late on our third night , when arriving it was dark and in the kitchen some of the spots were strobing badly, but qs quite dangerous for me as I have photosensitivity so my partner had to remove them himself and was then given a new pack of bulbs to replace ourself.

Positive: Stunning location within easy reach of lots of attractions. Really well stocked home but we did take our own amazon firestick to access Netflix etc Definitely recommend the black lion at cheddleton for a wonderful Sunday lunch, booking essential!

Negative: Had a cold snap and the house did get unexpectedly chilly, I could have spoken to the owner but snuggled up in a throw instead!
